Trefriw is a small village on the West side of the Conwy Valley (Dyffryn Conwy). It is located to the South of the valley between Llandudno and Betws-y-Coed, and just across the valley from the larger Llanrwst.

Access by road from the main coast road A55 Expressway, leaving the A55 at the Glan Conwy Interchange J19 onto the A470 south towards Betws-y-Coed, crossing the valley onto the B5106 at Tal-y-cafn. Alternatively the B5106 can be joined directly from Conwy town centre. From the south, leave the A5 onto the B5106 at Betws-y-Coed.

By train get off at Llandudno Junction or Conwy (often a request stop) and get the  19 & X19 bus. Alternatively the infrequent Conwy Valley Line train runs from the junction (when the tracks haven’t been washed away by flooding) but this will only take you as far as Llanrwst..

Camping in Jay’s garden + plenty of local hotel and B&B accommodation locally (details to follow). Information here.
